A Map of the Infinite Self ~
the Cosmology of the Nomadic Oracle
Every part of the map describes just one individual and that person's unique passage through life, from birth to old age. The trajectory, the present, past and future, curving out through time from the center, is always in total resonance with the ever-extending energy flows and turbulence in the interface between the aura and the flux at all frequencies.
In the center is Grace - a state of grace
which represents harmony between any
duality. This cosmic twin, the yang and the
yin, stands between Shakti and Shiva, the Receptive and
the Creative, the male and female principles inside every person, and represents the 'best possible' balance between them at any moment. The map can also be seen as the play between the ancestors through the generations or the evolution of a human being through actions of DNA exchange and whatever affects the environment and culture have brought.
The Nomadic Oracle takes an appropriately Dreamer's perspective. It suggests that humanity and our Planet Earth share the same arrangement of frequencies, that of Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Consciousness. A one-for-one correspondence. In this arrangement, the Elements and Spirits of Earth play a pivotal role. Many believe that, as they have matured through their lives, they have discovered an amazing sense of connection, received through the 4th chakra, the Heart. This may be our natural center of gravity and plays with the tightest of dualities - those which exist for example between loyalty to a single person and, at the same time, the beauty and vagaries of a vision of universal love. This center of dualities is Grace's neutral place of rest. Hence Earth is described as being the natural center of gravity, the Om Point. We are, after all, not only Earthlings but also Earth's Children. It would seem as natural to adopt Earth as a guide as it is both ill-advised and disrespectful to ignore the well-being of this Planet.
In the map of the Infinite Self the Nomadic Oracle illustrates how both the Planet and its people may be seen as sharing an arrangement of Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Consciousness - a link with Gaia - or a description of planetary consciousness which may serve as a reminder of our unique bond.
The suggestion does not infer a ladder to ascension in the common sense. Each frequency is infinite as is each division within it. Each can heal or destroy and takes its equal place on the grand wheel of existence. Below our feet is Fire. In our root it shares space both with the Shakti point of receptivity, the K'un in the Book of Changes, and also with the womb. This is clearly the frequency where the Kundalini, the life-force, may be thought to rest, coiled tightly around the base of the spine.

Variations on the Traditional Chakra System
The Oracle is a tool to personal empowerment. It encourages the direct observation of energy rather than the personalities, the dramas and the script which more generally drive a situation.
Energy is seen as split into 5 distinct groups or frequencies, and the aspects of the Oracle, members of the Families and Realms, are able to fine tune the message which the Universe delivers in response to the appeal and the intention of the Reader through the spreads and patterns of the reading. The work is encyclopedic, as it must be. The frequencies - Fire, Water, Earth, Air and the fifth Element, Consciousness, are simple descriptions or tags. They are related to activity, thought, practicalities in their play with the ideal, communication and the subtle increases in awareness which all of life's processes produce.
These in turn relate to the senses, smell, taste, touch, sound and sight. It is this ability to link to the senses that allows the Oracle, perhaps uniquely, to indicate the direction of an issue, whether it is from outside or whether the Reader is sub-consciously contributing to the situation.
On the left is a representation of the human chakra system taken from the illustration on the Shakti card and in the Guidebook. This is the basic 7-node system from ancient pre-Hindu teachings of the Indian sub-continent. The top position, called the thousand petaled lotus, is located on or slightly above the top of the head. This is the great vent of each person's spirit energy and has companion centers in and below the soles of the feet. The other six, which lie between these extremities, are thought to be concentrations of focus which resonate in harmony with different layers of the Aura. All written descriptions are inadequate. Language does not allow for the fact that any understanding needs to be ephemeral, subtle, undefined and not prescriptive.
The Nomadic Oracle welcomes this knowledge but places fire in the root for the physical body and its related passion, and blends the effects of the second chakra, traditionally related to the emotions, with both the first and the third. This is the lived experience - the strong energy of the emotions is present both in physical activity and mental thought processes, respectively connected to the first and the third chakras. This is a powerful application of a version of the traditions which clarifies the emotional body and releases self-expression without which it is probably impossible to create the conditions of one's own life.
