An Active Path to Consciousness?
Through the 5 aspects of the Realm of the Active Path, the Nomadic Oracle can help to bring this question to the table whenever the thought or the thread is implied in the 'situation' being presented to it by a Reader. It is the inclusive and secular energy of the Oracle which suggests that this is a question without definitions.
No matter what is taught elsewhere, and beyond all the idioms, the Oracle maintains its independence by being dedicated solely to the energies of freedom and equality. It receives its authenticity by stating that there is no power in the darkness. The wider universe has no need to invent negative energy through fantasies of evil. After all, the mass creation of fear has only ever been a device of civil control.
The darkness which resides in the hearts of people is the result of confusions caused by ignorance and blindness created by greed. A shamanic path will invariably evoke the realities of freedom through a necessary and always deeply challenging reflection on the difficulties of the ego, without which the Process cannot reveal itself. This is the time of the Return; it has been predicted that the task of human evolution will become easier as the need for it becomes more immediate.
It is often said that the universe will never grant an individual more than they are capable of receiving and have requested through intent. We are all in transition, as is the Planet. We seem to be lacking clarity, patience, dedication, openness, courage, commitment and an awareness of subtleties. What remains of our innate love of and respect for the miraculous forces of Nature? Or for the energy we derive from Earth which is full of subtle communication and the vital essences - essential - to our development? How are we to divert those who declare war against Planet Earth?
We are still able to reach for an active, organic, expanding path towards wisdom. To seek clarity through this intention may be to invite a shamanic energy in which there are guiding hands but, as the legacies dissolve in this Change of Age, there can be no teachers. The teachers are unable to accept the karma of their students and are themselves in transition.
The aspects of the Realm of the Active Path are:
Kundalini ~ in Fire this card may suggest where a Reader places their life-force - easily seen within the pattern of a reading when this card comes out to play,
Ritual Intention ~ in the mental and emotional blend called Water, this is the relationship between 'Intention' and an actived purpose - 'Ritual' - which tests for commitment and provides a psychic focus,
Letting Go ~ in Earth for both the 3-D practicalities of life and for our cosmic center of gravity, the heart of the matter and universal love. The card speaks of relaxation and of surrender and release all the way to total disintegration,
the Drum ~ in Air for communication at all frequencies this is the Higher Threshold. The card is perhaps saying "the way is open. There is light at the end of this tunnel"
and the Return ~ in Consciousness, the Oracle's fifth element, this card speaks of resolution and of 'enlightenment' - of the completion of a step on the path. Within any sense of continuous becoming there are no final steps, only new beginnings.

The making of the Kundalini was intimately connected to the lives of two deadly vipers. Several times since the card's presence in the pack has demonstrated that it retains its link with dangerous snakes in many forms. A ruthless, self-illuminating shapechanger this irrepressible contact with the Spirit will always find its own way out.
Fire has the Elementary energy of actions and their associated emotional blends. The Kundalini - Fire in the Realm of the Active Path - is almost bound to be a hot card. Depending on its position in a spread, it may be used by the Oracle to suggest where to place the life-force - the point of attention.
Such action may be instinctual. Once a reading has been established it is sometimes wise to take a note of it to refer to later, within the mysteries of hindsight. 'Recapitulate' it and you may be surprised to find how connected the Oracle has become.
The Guide to the Nomadic Oracle, in moving its focus from Fire to Water, suggests a need for clarity of purpose through the card Ritual Intention.
"At the most practical and pragmatic level, this card, which is associated with an emotional/intellectual blend of water in the Realm of the Active Path, represents the intention to act with deliberation. The reason of course is that, since ‘actions speak louder than words’ as we say, intention in itself is no more than an empty promise to the self unless accompanied by the action which follows it. Hence intention is, in all senses, inevitably and implicitly connected to commitment."

The infinite universe has the power to provide us with experiences of remarkable subtlety by which we may or may not learn."
